Come join us for a Lecture and discussion on a topic that is sure to interest. The presenter, Dr Matthew Beckmann ofm offers this description of his presentation:
As our understanding of Quantum Physics expanded in the 1950s and beyond, thinkers started to notice it had ramifications for our understanding of God. Just as Quantum Physics changed the way we think about matter and how it functions, so it changes our way of thinking about God and how we express ancient truths. If something can be simultaneously both true and false, how can theology speak about truth? No knowledge of physics, theology - or quanta! - needed for this conversation.
Refreshments provided and all staff and students welcome.
